PROUD TO BE PART OF THE JOINT COUNCIL FOR COSMETIC PRACTITIONERS (JCCP)

I’m pleased to share that I am now a registered and approved practitioner with the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP).

In an industry that has grown rapidly, but remains only partially regulated, this registration represents an important step toward greater transparency, safety, and accountability in aesthetic medicine.

WHAT IS THE JCCP?

The Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners is a UK-based, not-for-profit organisation established in 2018 following a government call for improved oversight of the non-surgical aesthetics sector.

Its primary aim is simple: to protect patients by ensuring that practitioners meet clearly defined standards of training, competence, and ethical practice.

The JCCP register is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority, providing independent assurance that those listed have met robust professional and safety requirements.

WHY THIS MATTERS

Non-surgical aesthetic treatments – such as injectables and laser procedures – have become increasingly popular. However, the lack of consistent regulation has created significant variation in standards across the industry.

The JCCP helps address this by:

  • Providing a trusted, voluntary register of qualified practitioners
  • Verifying training, qualifications, and clinical competence
  • Requiring adherence to a strict code of ethical practice
  • Promoting patient safety and informed decision-making

It also works closely with the Cosmetic Practice Standards Authority (CPSA), which develops evidence-based clinical standards to guide safe practice across the sector.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU

Being registered with the JCCP means that my qualifications, training, and clinical practice have been independently assessed against nationally recognised standards.

For patients, this offers reassurance that your care is:

  • Delivered by a medically qualified professional
  • Grounded in evidence-based practice
  • Focused on safety, ethics, and natural results

RAISING STANDARDS IN AESTHETICS

The introduction of the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners and the Cosmetic Practice Standards Authority marks an important shift toward improving safety and consistency in the UK aesthetics industry.

It reflects a broader movement toward better regulation, clearer standards, and more responsible practice—something I am fully committed to supporting.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT PRACTITIONER

If you are considering non-surgical aesthetic treatment, choosing a practitioner registered with the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners is an important step in ensuring you are in safe and qualified hands.

If you would like to discuss your options or explore what treatment may be right for you, I would be very happy to help.
